Phase One: Location Planning & Bidding / Property Acquisition / Preliminary Design
You may have a building site already, or maybe you need to search for one. Here we can work with our preferred real estate agent or one of your choosing to find a location that is right for you. At this stage we can explore some broad spectrum needs, wants, budget or any other concerns you may have for you new home. Here we explore your ideal home vision.
StickMonkey can help you find the ideal lot in the ideal community for you and your family with focus on the future. We have a Real Estate agent that we work with, or can work with one of your choosing to ensure that you get the location you desire not just the house. We believe that is the essence of a home.
Phase Two: Design Development
Now we can dig a little bit deeper and meet with the architect to talk about interior and exterior finishes, layout, landscaping and anything else you wish to incorporate in to your custom home. The architect will produce preliminary designs and plans that can then be modified, amended or tweaked as desired (remember, this is your house).
Phase Three: Attain Required Permits
StickMonkey will work to obtain any and all necessary permits to proceed to the construction phase.
Phase Four: Project Review
This stage of the project is ongoing throughout the whole process, but it is important to stop and have a full review before proceeding to stage five - construction. We understand that sometimes people can change their minds along the way, or just need to put a little extra personal touch to their new home. You might just need a little break to take a deep breath before things really get going. Now is the time for that.
Phase Five: Construction
Now things start to get exciting. You can see your vision becoming reality. There is always lots of activity during this phase, but do not feel like everything is set in stone (unless you really like stonework of course). Never hesitate to bring concerns or new ideas to us during construction. It isn’t always easy, but there are many things about the building process that reveal themselves along the way. If you have an idea, or concern, let’s hear it. It may just be the thing that puts your signature on the build.
Phase Six: Move in and Experience the Beauty of YOUR New Home
Come home and enjoy. It is your home now, but StickMonkey stands by its product and is most happy to address any questions or concerns.
